losing connections with 2300

have 2300 router - installed on Dimension 4600 with CD to connect to a laptop. Worked fine for a few minutes (checked both ip addresses) - then somehow router knocks desktop off but keeps laptop on. Have reinstalled - same problem.  Rebooted, reconnected, etc. - no luck. Laptop nevers loses connection but desktop get KO'd.

Thanks for help...losing my mind. Dell India no help whatsover....

I'm having the same problem with my 4550, except internet connection is fine but VPN connection is consistently terminated after 3 minutes.  Laptop (600M) is fine.  Any assistance is appreciated.
