Msn Messenger and hotmail not working! hElp please

Hellow, Well I got my new computer just a few days ago, with a new firewall and mcfee installed into it, but it seams that it wont let me check my hotmail, nor let me into my msn messenger, when I try to log into my messenger it keeps saying that It might be blocked by a firewall, but its not... I am so lost. It's buggin me, in my last dell computer this did not happen!, should i remove the firewall?! and how?!
