Nat Settings

For a Dell TrueMobile 2300.

I need to change this so I can play with my friend online. I have no clue how to do that though. I set a password for wirelessness, but I can't find how to change the NAT. Please help.

It's called port forwarding. Look that up in your manual.

are you trying to host the game or is the friend? generally you don't need to deal with NAT/forwarding unless you're trying to host.

hi..

google search on what port/ports the game uses... then have a look here

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/network/p57205/en/config/web_conf/advanced.htm#port_forwarding

you will want to add these ports, and assign the port forwarding to your pc's ip etx 192.###.###,

i wouldn't use DMZ for extended periods since it basically turns off NAT for an assigned pc so you will no longer be protected by the router firewall....

What does the manual say?  Are you sure its not the Windows Firewall or some other blocking the connection out?

er.. its not a computer game. I just need to change the router NAT settings. The guy from Support said that NAT settings could affect who we can play with.

I think my friend needs to aswell. I don't think the game uses a port. Its Halo 2...

Is this an internet game?  Check the makers iste to see which port needs to be opened and then RTM.
