Need Channel 13 - Broadcom 802.11n Adapter Please

Hi there,

I've been having major issues with slow and fluctuating wireless speeds for ages now. (Between 0.1 to 5DL - 0.06 to 1UL)

Spent a long time with the ISP (vodafone New Zealand) trying to sort. After weeks of testing and stuff - they could not help at all. To cut a very long story short I played around myself and found that I could get excellent Wifi speeds on my Apple devices (iphones and Pads) by setting the router to Channel 13 - YAY! But alas my Dell Studio 1749 no longer sees my SSID/Router and so can't connect to wifi.

I'm presuming it's because the wireless adapter cannot recognize/connect to/see Channel 13. (?) Adapter is a Broadcom 802.11n (Dell DW1520 Wireless-N Half-Mini Card )

Please could you let me know how I can fix this as Channel 13 is the only non crowded one in my area (which has - no joke - over 50 Wifi networks! Lots of apartments around me.).

Your time and help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

D
