Need Help Installing Lucent WaveLan PCMCIA Card
I am using windows XP on an Inspiron B130 notebook. The instructions say to insert the card and the drivers will automatically install. But when I insert the card nothing happens.
Therefore I downloaded the drivers and unzipped them into a folder on my harddrive but there is no file called setup.exe so I don’t know how to install them.
The readme file says that if a manual install is necessary, I should go to devise manager, then select my card, select properties and install the driver from this folder. But when I go to the devise manager and click on network adapters my card is not listed. Shouldn’t the card show up in the devise manager even if there are no drivers installed?
I have run an extended diagnostics on the computer to ensure everything is working property. It showed everything was ok with the laptop. Can any one help?

The B130 does not have a PCMCIA card slot. The slot you see is an Express Card slot and no current PCMCIA cards will work in that slot. Your only alternative is to wait for the Express Card wireless network adapter to be released by the manufacturers or get a USB wireless network adapater.
