Need help networking xp pc to '98 pc. Ran the network setup wizard and it didn't work!!!!!!!!
I have a broadcom (I think 440 integrated nic) 10/100M network adapter on the xp computer. The other computer has a Hawking network card (PCI 10/100M fast ethernet network adapter w/ wake on lan.) I need help because the xp network setup wizard worked once, but there was a major flaw in that only the xp computer could send information, and the kingdom pc kept on saying that it could not find my computer. So I deleted the connection, and tried the wizard again, and now nothing will work. I think part of the problem is that the computers are not receiving information back when they send it (I could be wrong). Whatever it is, the pc's won't connect properly. Any help, or suggestions? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See if the tutorials at the following site help you to manually set up the network:

When the wizards work, they are great, but too often the wizards don't work, so you should try to use the manual setup.
