Need to print wirelessly from laptop - Alternatives?

I have the following: 1) Deminsion 8200 desktop w Epson C84 printer, Verizon wireless internet, and a Kyocer KR1 router on order, and 2) an Inspiron 1721 laptop w Bluetooth (if that matters).    What is my best way to be able to print from the laptop to the printer attached to my desktop?  Do I need a new wireless printer?  Are there any other adapters or what have you that I need to install? The printing volume will be low, and speed is not a problem.    If the above is more complex than I care to tackle, would a cheap portable printer be a better alternative?

All you have to do once the router arrives is to set up a small home network and then share the printer which is connected to the 8200. When you add the printer from your laptop, Windows should install the appropriate drivers.No extra hardware required.
