Network adapter problem

The network card on my Dell Inspiron 3521 seems to be shutting down intermittently. When the problem occurs the wifi icon changes to an ethernet icon. And the network adapter disappears in the Device Manager. A reboot sometimes brings the Network card back

Hi Desie66,

I would suggest you to try Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Network Driver from Device Manager.

To Download and Install the driver, Click on the link http://dell.to/1ldv5HQ by selecting the version of Operating System.

1. Uninstall the Wireless Driver by going into the device manager and then restart the system.

2. Download and install the Wireless Driver by selecting the version of Operating System and the network card.

Note: To know the Wireless card installed on the computer. Follow the steps below to check which network card you have in the machine:

  • Right click computer icon on the desktop.
  • Select Manage.
  • Select Device Manager from the right pane of the window that opens.
  • Expand Network adapters from right pane.
  • This will list the network card installed in the machine.

Note : With the correct version of operating system and the Device Id for the network card you can find the driver for the network card in the above link.

Please lets us know how it works.!
