Network Monitoring Software

Since the new version of Dell Support (v3) has been installed on my PC I continue to get the notifications that my Network Monitoring Software needs to be upgraded.  When viewing the information it refers to Visual IP InSight Agent and provides a link to http://updates/visualnetworks.com   I don't know what this software is for, therefor I am leary of downloading it and installing on my PC.  I never had this notification with the old Dell Support.

Does anyone know what this is and is it ok to install?
I am using a Dimension 4600C Desktop PC with high speed cable access.

Any light anyone can shed on this will be a big help.

Regards,

Sue,

Thank you for visiting the Dell Community Forum.

You do not have to install this software; the system should function fine without it. You can find some information on this software at the following addresses:

Visual IP InSight

Stephen,

Thank you for responding to my query.  This notification (that I receive continually) is a bit disconcerting.  As long as it won't do any damage or cause me any problems, I will not be running the .exe for this.

Thanks Again,

Sue C

Sue,

There should be an option on the notice to not show it again. You can select this option to keep the notice from returning continually.
