Network Monitoring Software
Since the new version of Dell Support (v3) has been installed on my PC I continue to get the notifications that my Network Monitoring Software needs to be upgraded. When viewing the information it refers to Visual IP InSight Agent and provides a link to
http://updates/visualnetworks.com I don't know what this software is for, therefor I am leary of downloading it and installing on my PC. I never had this notification with the old Dell Support.
Does anyone know what this is and is it ok to install?
I am using a Dimension 4600C Desktop PC with high speed cable access.
Any light anyone can shed on this will be a big help.
Regards,
Sue C

Sue,
Thank you for visiting the Dell Community Forum.
You do not have to install this software; the system should function fine without it. You can find some information on this software at the following addresses:

Stephen,
Thank you for responding to my query. This notification (that I receive continually) is a bit disconcerting. As long as it won't do any damage or cause me any problems, I will not be running the .exe for this.
Thanks Again,

Sue,
There should be an option on the notice to not show it again. You can select this option to keep the notice from returning continually.
