Network security key

hi

I got a inspiron 15 500 yesterday but when I tried to set up my laptop it asked me for a security key. Can someone please let me know where I can find my security key.

    Never mind I solved my own problem!  Number lock was on!  Duh!

    The network key/passphrase is usually located on the back of your router from your internet provider.

    Well, that didn't work for me! Got any other suggestions? I know what my network security password is but microsoft wants a security key to run my printer - ad it's not the one on the back of my router.

    same issue, asking for network security key everything I have tried including my password has to be at least 8 characters, the new dell laptop is only allow 5!  Help?
