Network won't work with SBC Yahoo

Question

My network was working fine with cable broadband (Comcast.net) until I switched to SBC Yahoo, now the my network quits working. No activity indication when I connect to network. I'm using Linksys rounter BEFS41, installed the newest firmware. Window XP Pro. I called Linksys tech support; but fruitless!! Please help.

Did SBC connect your computer directly to the modem or was the router always in between the computer and the SBC modem?

gioang, SBC Yahoo requires the router be configured for PPPoE, whereas Comcast did not.  Have you configured the router for PPPoE and entered your SBC Yahoo userid and password?

Thanks to Jmwills and Paladin. My SBC was connecting to the modem. Anyway, my network is back in business after I configured to PPPoE as advised. Again, thanks so much. I really appreciate your quick and professional responses. This Forum never failed me. Happy holidays.
