Networking Problems with CPxJ Lattitude Laptop
I had to reload the OS (Windows 98SE) onto my CPxJ Laptop and have been unable to access the Internet since. The laptop does not recognize my modem, and the two PCMCIA adapters both show "empty", even though I have a credit card modem installed along with the related software. I have tried a Xircom CM-56 modem as well as an RBEM56G-100 credit card modem. The RBEM model was working previously with Windows 98 before I uninstalled it and formatted the drive. What do I need to do to get the adapters to recognize my modem?

Did you install drivers for the modem card(s)? The cards will not run or be recognized unless the drivers are intalled.
