New Orange Livebox - connects but cannot display web page

I have a Dimension 9150 and xp home. Have been on broadband with orange and had no problems, until now! I've just changed to their Livebox Unlimited Broadband which I have installed using the ethernet cable, all was fine, I configured the livebox and it showed me as connected but I can't see any web pages - everything I try says the same "Internet explorer cannot display web page". Orange don't seem to have a solution! Anyone else experienced the same problem?
