New problem with GX270 and MSDOS Ghost boot Disk

Question

Here is my problem, I am not even getting to the freezing known problem with Ghost. OK the boot disk for the GX260 with the old E1000 dos driver works fine. I upgraded the driver to the latest E1000 and also works fine with the GX260. NOw on the GX270 with the old E1000 driver it boots up fine but hangs right where it tries to pick up an IP, on the LAN MANAGER V2.1 Netbios. With the new E1000 driver I get the follow error when it tries to pick up an IP:
Net0110: Insufficient memoroy to load tcp 1.0
Net0116: TCP Access failur by Tiny RFC
Tiny RFC 1.0 not loaded
Press any key to continue
Net0116:TCP access failure by NMTSR
Unloadable NMTSR 1.0 not loaded
Press any key

What does this all mean? Again I do not get this error with the GX260. I wish I can at least get to the freezing part cause the boot disk would at least be working. any help appreciated. Thanks

don't know if this'll help, but:   ' Troubleshooting notesThe current NDIS 2 DOS driver for the Intel® PRO/1000 family (E1000.DOS) is not compatible with EMM386 or other expanded memory managers. Do not use EMM386 with this driver. If you do not have sufficient room on the diskette, you can make more available space by deleting the file \NET\EXP16.DOS and the hidden file DRVSPACE.BIN. I'm sorry I have no info on the gx270.

You say that you've got the gx260's working with the 1000E driver, which is that?

I've tried the dos driver from intel, and from dell, but can't get ghost 7.5 to work with my gx260's.... (hangs on reboot before grabbing image from client to console)

Incase it matters, the 'client' tab in the properties for all of the gx260's says: "Unknown PCI identifiers 32902:4110"

Sounds like i might be able to help you. memmory problems can be fixed with a simple command line switch.

ghost.exe -fniï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ this is how i got the gx260 boot disk to work on a gx 270.

very simple it turns off direct disk access, which in turn seems to free up enough memmory to complete the task.

i dont remember where i found the driver, but it wasnt the manufacturer.

i tried 5 of the same drivers before finding the one that worked. and it bombed in different ways.

i have the driver that can be added to the boot disk. if you emailï¿½ me directly rdixon@wvbep.org ill send it to ya.

*idea make a new template for this disk. and add the driver to the template folder so ghost will create it for you. then you dont have to swap drivers after the fact.

this post is in reguards to the intel pro 1000 adapter.

Can you please e-mail me the driver that can be added to the boot disk for GX270 for the MSDOS ghost boot disk.

My using my exitsing GX260 Dos boot disk to boot up GX270 and it is not working.

I am thinking the GX270 has a different NIC card. So, I tried downloading the NIC driver for the GX270 and replace some files on the GX260 boot disk (hoping it would work on on GX270), but nothing worked

So, if you can e-mail me at sdhaliwal25@hotmail.com the drivers and let me know what files to change. OR how you got this boot disk to work on a GX270 that will be great. Thanks so much.
