NIC Failure on Dimension 2400
I am getting a "NIC Failure" in the system log when I start my computer. When I go to the device manager, I do nto get an option for Network Adapters. I tried to install another Network card in the PCI slot, but it did not work. Any ideas about how can repair my PC?

Well, my problem is fixed now, but now the way you would think.
I noticed that when I turned on the comouter, the was an error message flashin on the screen. IRQ failure. I did some reading in the linksys manual and it tole me that ther could be a conflict with exisiting hardware. So I tried th following:
1. tried to move the new linksys card to PC slot and restart. -THIS DID NOT WORK
2. Well, then I thought, the modem card slot seems to be ok, so I removed the model cord and put the new linksys card in that slot. -THEN THE NEW CARD WORKED. BUT WAIT, THE OLD NIC BUILT INTO THE MOTHER BOARD WORKED ALSO!!!
3. So, just to confirm, I removed the new linksys PCI card, and put the modem card back in, then the old NIC did not work again. Then, I removed the modem card, rebooted the PC. After that, the old NIC on the mother board worked!
So I guess there is a problem with modem card? I never used the modem before because I have DSL. Anyone have any ideas????
