You will have to download the drivers on a computer with internet access, copy the files from that computer to some kind of removable media (a CD-R or USB memory stick), take the removable media to the I 6000, copy the files to the hard drive on that system, then run them from there. It sounds like you are not going to the drivers page for the Inspiron 6000. Did you use the link I posted in my last reply, or, do you not really have an Inspiron 6000 but instead have something else?
When I click on the driver link, go to Networks, I only see 2 options, Dell Wireless 1450 or Intel Pro/100 VE Network Connection, not the Broadcom one you mention. What am I missing? Thank you so much for the help!
