Odd Problem, laptop is constantly disconnecting from network/internet
there are 3 computers hooked up to our network/internet via a router & modem. the other 2 pc's do not have this problem-and they are connected wirelessly.
whether i connect wirelessly or with an actual cable, whether it is thru the router or directly to the modem, i am constantly being disconnected. about every 20 seconds im dropped and it says "acquiring network address"-even though the signal is excellent.
i have the latest driver for both the wireless linksys card and network plug. I did not have this problem when i used dial-up.
im running windows xp and using trendmicro for protection.
Please Help! this is so Bothersome!!
