problem connecting to router with 1470

I just received my new b130 and I am not able to connect to my wireless router (linksys wireless g).  It shows that the wireless connection is available but will not connect.  I have disabled all security on the pc and router including windows firewall and I am still not able to connect.  The 6000 that I purchased as well connected right away without any changes to the security features.

Is there a conflict with the 1470 and the linksys?

The 1470 card is either turned off in the BIOS or is not turned on.  Try using the Fn F2 key combination to turn it on (note that it acts as toggle, so wait a few seconds).  Also check to make sure it is not disabled in Windows (open Network connections - it will tell you if it is disabled in the list of network connections).

To help troubleshoot this problem, on the computer that cannot connect, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.

Thank you Steve!

Even though it appeared to be on, when I used the fn f2 to turn it off and then back on, it connected right away.

HELP... unfortunately it only worked momentarily.  I am back to the same situation.  It keeps giving me the message "unable to connect to preferred wireless network"

Any suggestions???

If the card was disabled how would it possibly detect any wireless networks?? I am having a similar issues with the 1470 card connecting to my Netgear Wireless router. I have disabled all of my security settings and even though it detects the network it continously says unable to connect.
