PROBLEM WITH INSPIRON 1440, lan card real tek driver installation problem

i have a dell inspiron 1440.i am unable to install lan card real tek driver so that i can connect to local area network internet cable,after uploading driver in network places i see

LOCAL AREA NETWORK

bluE tooth lan access server

will this connect to local cable?

THE lan driver real tek after installation says that shut down and plug realtek PCI-E card to complete installation?what do i do?
