Problems with broadband

Although connected to dsl modem via AOL broadband, I am trying to install a CD rom which you need to have connection to Internet.  I have installed the cd rom but it is not recognising that I am connected to the Internet.  Also is there anyway that I can get AOL onot my Internet Explorer???

Cazcooper,

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forum.

AOL is really different from all other ISP's.  Any questions you have concerning AOL should be addressed with them.  Also, getting Internet Explorer with AOL's service is tricky at best.  That's something else they need to address.

Hi there.  Just wanted to say I have several sisters who have AOL -- and I don't like AOL. So, after they have signed in to AOL, I then click on the Start menu and open the Internet Explorer to surf the web on their computers.  Since they are already signed on to AOL, I don't have a problem opening Internet Explorer and exploring to my heart's content.
