Reformatted laptop no more wireless capabilities
I recently had to reformat my laptop and it now has no more wireless capabilities. When i push Fn F2 nothing happens to say wireless is being turn on or off but all the buttons seem to work. The Network controller and Sm Bus controller both have yellow exclamation points and say unknown device. I looked up the system information and the network controller says VEN_168C&DEV002B the sm bus controller says VEN-8086&DEV_1C22 . The laptop is running windows 7 and is an inspiron n5050

dramirezsb,
When you reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Desktop/Notebook system software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
Start with the Desktop/Notebook system software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.
