Sending a fax causes Windows XP to crash

I have a Dell Dimension 4600 with a Conexant D850 56K V.9x DFVc Modem and when I try to send a fax, it will dial the number, then a blue screen with the following stop error shows:

STOP 0x0000008E (0xC0000092, 0xF7E484A3, 0x8054FF03, 0x00000000)
HSF_DP.SYS

The 4 number is the brackets are different each time.
I've used the BVRP Phone Tools software and the Windows Fax software, and does the same thing each time.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the modem (driver) and it still doesn't work.
Someone, please help me fix this.

That looks like it's a memory problem because memory is read using hexidecimal and so is that code. Go to start/settings/control panel/administrative tools/ and go to the event viewer. Go after you have the problem so it should be the first on the list. It may be able to give you some more information on the error that occurred.
