Serious Error caused by Tornado 563 External USB V92 Modem
I have just got new Dell 8300. I foolishly specified 128K ISDN (Eicon DivaPassive) modem (XP) when in fact I use a dial up internet service (AOL). I then bought Tornado 563 Ext. USB V92 Modem. After installing (I have tried 3 times) the blue serious error screen appears and says:
MS Window: Error Signature
BCCode: 1000007e
BCP1:
No Events found!

Banj,
Thanks for using the Dell Community Forum.
Try posting this in the Software section under the Windows XP and General Software boards and see if you can't get a better response there.

Banj,
I went ahead and copied your second posting along with the original to make it less confusing.
This is continuation of earlier message....If it helps the Error Codes on the MSWindows Blue Screen (?) are:
BCCode 1000007e
BCP1 C0000005; BCP2 ED4B5AA6; BCP3 F89918F4; BCP4 F89915F4
OsVer 5_1_2600
SP 1_0
Product 256_1
The files in the error report are:
c\windows\mindump\mini112203-3.dmp; c\docum~1\sarah\locals~1\temp\wer9.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xme
Does any of this make sense ? Can anyone tell me how best to achieve my aim of being able to access dial up ISP when I have iSDN internal modem ?
Thanking you in anticipation - Banj (a technophobic !)
