Silly newbie "B2B" question

Hi, this is probably a stupid question, but what is a "B2B" network. I know its some type of "peer to peer" thing, but can I connect to the internet using a B2B network? I just got my new computer (Latitude x300) and I’ve never had a wireless card before. So far, I’ve taken the laptop to a nearby hotel and it automatically connected me to something called Lynksys (sp?) which was great as I was able to open internet explorer and surf without doing anything else. Recently, I noticed that I’m able to connect to some network called "b2b" at the local Panerra restaurant and at my doctor’s office. But each time, even though my laptop tells me I’m connected to this b2b network, I am not able to surf the internet.  I searched the dell database and found an article on how to configure my laptop to connect to a peer to peer network, but I already seem to be connected to this b2b network automatically, so connecting does not seem to be the problem. Is there something else I need to do to be able to surf? Any thoughts? Thanks, Steve.

You are confusing a few terms.

First, P2P. Stands for Peer to Peer. It has a couple meanings, but the most common one is as a filesharing system in which you can download a P2P client (like Kazaa, or BitTorrent) to download files available from others.

This B2B network you are talking about is not related to P2P. It is the name of a wireless network that is available for you to access using your laptop. It may or may not work with your computer, depending on security settings they have setup.
