slow speeds with my Broadcom 440x 10/100 internet controller clearwire

Question

I have clearwire internet connection.  On my computer Dell Dimension 2400 can only get 500k speeds.  With laptop hooked up to my wireless modem can get 1.5M.  Any suggestions

Your notebook is connected via wireless. How is your Dimension 2400 connected? Do you have a wired router? (which?)

When you do that (plug in directly), does it run at 10 Mbps? 100 Mbps? should be showing up in Details (connection)

I do have a wired router.  Laptop was hooked up via wired router too.  Plugged modem right into the back of laptop.

Assuming that the connection is capable of 100 Mbps, you could try (one at a time) 100 full duplex and then (if the first does not work) the other 100 (half?)
