The internet won't connect.

Well my internet will not work. I'll try explain this as detailed as possible in order to get help.

Well late Sunday night my computer had the blue screen and the white lettering/numbering. I failed to read all of it but at the bottom it was doing a memory dump I believe. It started counting up and so I tried to turn off the computer as quick as possible because I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

Then my Avast was telling me it couldn't do email scans. Whenever I started up Windows and then the Kerio Firewall was telling some error about DB and socket and Family exist doesn't exist.

When I restored the system It seemed to have been working fine for about 24 or 48 hours and than The Blue screen happened again and was trying to do a memory dump. And the same Avast & Kerio errors came up again.

Then hours later our internet(everyones in house) wasn't working because the DSL plug wasn't plugged in anymore or something. So Next morning(Tuesday morning-Nov 30th) my Desktop computer(the one with the problems I've been having.) wouldn't connect to the internet still. It told me that the Internet connection was limited or no connectivity.

We have a Netgear and router but since I don't have a built in wireless connection I use a Linksys wireless adapter. I've tried repair windows and it will not renew my IP Address. My dad has tried messing around with it to get it to work. And has been unsuccessful at it. The Linksys monitor will tell us that I have access point but no internet.

So I'm not to sure what has to be done to fix this. Help?

All I do remember is that it was doing a type of memory dump and it was counting up.... the more that the screen on...there.

If your computer was shipped after July 15, 2004, it has a recovery partition called PC Restore that allows you to return the computer to the exact state it was in when it shipped.   Using this recovery method will result in the loss of any files you have added so you would need to back up these files (pictures, music, internet favorites, email, word processing documents, spreadsheets, videos, etc.) to some kind of removable media like CD-R if you have a CD burner.  Once that is done, the directions for using PC-Restore can be found at:

But what if I've already formated my computer before?

 

Because I had format my computer Nov.9th-11th. Will it just go back to that day when I formated my computer or no?

I got this computer in Sept 2005.

Ohh... would that mean I wouldn't have to install the drivers?
