The Realtek Ethernet Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable

My ethernet cable isn't giving me any internet connection.

I went into network connections and I have no local connection there. Just wifi and bluetooth. In my device manager I see no drivers for Ethernet Network Controller Drivers, but I also see no errors.

When I try installing a Ethernet Network Controller Driver I get a error. Error message: "The Realtek Ethernet Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable."

Apparently my ethernet controller fell asleep by some strange error? And it won't wake up. I've tried all the solutions I could find:

1. New ethernet cable

2. Disabling BIOS and ENABLING

3. Removing RAM

4. Repairing/uninstalling/reinstalling drivers

5. Updating all Windows Updates

Other than the obvious problem of not having the proper driver installed, the only time Ethernet didn't work for me was when a thunderstorm zapped the port on my router and my M6300's Ethernet port. Strangely enough the router continued to function. I resorted to a USB-Ethernet adapter.
