To download a modem driver

I need help. I need to download the following: Conexant SmartHSFi V92 56K PCI Modem driver.
It came installed in my computer but was uninstalled a couple of days ago when I reconfigured my computer.
I have found out that to reinstall it I must download the driver form the Dell website. I am here but I can't figure out what to do.
I am on my work computer now, I will download the driver into this computer, then copy the dowload onto a disk to take home and use the disk to reinstall my modem driver, but first I have to find the driver. Help.
Thanks

Hi

Find the name and model number of your computer,  then find select your OS, and finally look through the list of communication drivers.

What a nightmare!!  I have a Dell Dimension 4600.  I reformatted my hard drive and don't have drivers.  I eventually found my way to the Dell site and found the page mentioned in the previous message.  Been there before.  I found the Communication s section.  And lo and behold there are 4 modems listed there.  Neither one is mine, which shows on the modem as a BCM9412.  I downloaded all listed modems rivers...none work.  (One of them I did find indicated that the file was made up of a bunch of zipped files from floppies and asked for the last disk in the zipped floppies Phoooeyy!!) I did find a driver on driverguide.com but even though it indicated that it was for all operating systems, it was only valid for Win98 when I tried to install.  Been at this for two days. And I am on dial up.  I've run into so many options under the different devices.  Tell me which is which. And please do not ask me to get the diagnotics file.  I've done that.. that tells me nothing.

So, please don't just post a link when someone requests help.  Post a link to their specific driver.

After 2 days of looking...conclusion...this downloads section of this website is a mess.  I'm also coming to the conclusion that the internal components of those Dell systems are a conglomeration of cheap low ended compnents.
