TrueMobile 2300 - automatic reconnect when losing connection?
Hello,
I have the TrueMobile 2300 broadband router, using it to connect my PC and laptop to the internet. Unfortunately, the German T-Com cuts the connection every 24 hours, so that I have to reconnect manually.
My question: is it possible to configure the 2300, that it reconnects automatically to the internet when it loses the connection?
Kind regards, Christoph Spengler

Thank you for your answer. I didn't find a download for a newer firmware on the Dell website, where do I find it?
I don't find a WAN setting as you describe it.

ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R64290.EXE
Not all routers have the WAN settings like that - there should be the ability to tell it to get its IP address automatically. I just found the 2300 User Guide online and it is not very informative on this.

Thank you for the link, I installed the latest formware now.
As far as I can see, the 2300 already gets its IP automatically, but that doesn't prevent that, when my ISP cuts the connection after 24 hours. it stays offline until I do the reconnect via the http://192.168.2.1/index.asp interface of the 2300. I heard that many routers have a function "reconnect when connection to the ISP is lost", but there seems to be nothing like that in the 2300.
