Truemobile miniPCI 1300 Issues
I have a Latitude C640 that I had been connecting to my wireless network that supports a/b/g via a 3com PC Card. I am running Win XP Pro on the laptop. I really had no issues. I wanted to try a mini PCI card so I bought a Dell Trumobile 1300. I am having problems with the Truemobile card that I never had with the other card. Many times after I turn on the PC and the connection completes, I have no IP address. I have to do an ipconfig /renew, or disable and enable the card a few times and eventually I get an IP. Other times I get an IP address, but it is like it is not recoginzing the DNS servers I have entered in teh TCP/IP properties. I launch a browser window, and it eventually times out without connecting to the page. I have to do the ipconfig /renew and enable/disable trick a few times before I can get to the net.
Does anyone have any ideas on what may be happening? Also, what is the difference between the Truemobile 1300 and 1350 cards?
Thanks for your help.

msfighter - a C640 is the Latitude for the Inspiron 4150.
As to the 1300 problems, Make sure you use the Downloads tab above and get the latest 1300 driver - probably have to tell it you have a 8500 or 8600. Also get the latest firmware for your router or access point. You might also let the TM wireless utility handle the wireless connection and not Windows.
