UD22 - Doesn't work properly after A07 update

Hello community,

Yesterday I did the firmware update of my Docking station Dell UD22 (to try to solve performance issue with triple screen setup) to the latest (it was launched yesterday, according to the drivers/firmware page) and after the update the HDMI port stopped to work and the Power Delivery was reduced to the point that the computer (windows 11) now reports "Slow charging". I've tried to downgrade, but the software doesn't allow to go back.

What I would like is to know if there's a way to revert the firmware. Any help?

Hello.

Yes I've had a similar problem too. I didn't notice the power delivery element of your issue.

But 2 separate UD22 docks I updated using A07 then killed the connection to the screen via HDMI. These were known working on the older A06 firmware, and had both only been unboxed the previous week. Same issue on different laptops. Replaced the HDMI lead - no fix. Swapped the HDMI lead to the other screen - problem followed the HDMI lead.

Ultimate fix was swapping for a DisplayPort cable.

Any ideas from Dell on this?

I'm having this issue, but after a reboot of the computer, even the DisplayPort cable is not working (I've been working with simultaneous HDMI and DP monitor connections). Unable to roll back DisplayLink driver, unable to roll back UD22 firmware. Big disappointment.

Hello everyone,

I am also affected by the HDMI detection issue on my Dell UD22 after upgrading to firmware A07. This situation has posed some challenges for my workflow, and I understand that many others may be experiencing similar difficulties.

I would greatly appreciate it if Dell could provide a timeframe for when we might expect the corrected firmware. This information would be extremely helpful for all users relying on this product, and it would help restore our confidence in its performance.

Just to give an update on my personal situation regarding the issue I’ve reported, I’ve opened a RMA request and the docking station was replaced with a working one (curious its comes with A07 and I have no issues so far).

I am in the same boat with the rest of you.  I just applied updates via SupportAssist and the A07 firmware for the UD22 got applied.  Since then the monitor connected to HDMI no longer works.  The other two monitors connected to DisplayPort works fine.  I have swapped cables and verified the monitor is not the issue.  I ran into this post while researching and it fits what happened to me exactly.  My dock is still under warranty and I am chatting with a support rep to get a replacement.  My guess is that something is wrong in this firmware update.
