Unable to download large files
For some reason my downloads stop randomlly when downloading files larger then 50mb.
It seems to have just started. My connection seems to be running great and my ISP said there is not any packet loss. I can play games online no problem.
All virus scans on AVG and Malwarebytes came back negative.
My system
Dell Studio XPS 435MT
I7core, 6mb ram, 4570 ATI radeon, 640gb HD.
Modem : Motorola Surfboard, Router : Linksys WRTG54

ZoneOne,
I used to have CompuServe, a sister company of AOL, and they would disconnect me after a set period of time. I used to have this issue but you may want to try using a download manager like Flashget and it will start off where it stopped, if you do get disconnected.

I am attempting to download using Firefox, as I have cable internet I don't use AOL as my ISP.
My OS is Vista Home Premium.
An example is when I tried to download a 438mb file, it won't go past 6.2mb.
However, I was able to download a 10mb file almost instantly (as normal)

ZoneOne,
Download Flashget and install it. Since you're using Mozilla Firefox, now install Flashgot add-on. Now after you restart Mozilla Firefox, go and try to download the file, it should open the popup window, select What should Firefox do with this file. Select Flashget, save file and flashget will popup.Select where you want to save the file to. It will download the file until it's complete.
Do NOT use any download acelerators as they tend to corrupt downloaded files.
