Unable to install Ethernet Adapter for DSL access

I think you need to scrap ME and get XP (even 98 would be an improvement). It may be ME thats not allowing you to install as it has many many many program flaws that were later corrected. ME has has no drivers and has bad hardware detection and you need to upgrade your RAM to at least 512.
