IE 8. An example occured on Monster today. I got all the way through the application process and on the very last screen there was a "submit" button, and nothing happened when I clicked on it. In other cases there are sites where links to downloadable files do not work.
Strange issue indeed -- You might want to see if 'windows update' has any possible fixes related to your problem -- use the "Custom" update button and see if any network adapter/hardware updates pop up - or any updates for IE 8 -- also try disabling your firewall/A-V just long enough to check one of the sites you recently had the issue with - and if you use Spyware Dr disable the IntelliGuard and try it -- I've seem Spyware Dr cause some wierd issues by being overly protective - recently SD would not allow Googles' Chrome to function at all in Windows 7 until I altered the target path to the desktop icon's properties, go figure!!
Maybe try tweaking the security settings in IE 8's internet options (set the restrictions a little lower) - and adding one of the sites you had the issue with in the 'trusted sites' settings - but be sure to remeber where the settings were and set them back to those settings if none of your changes fixes the issue
I'm grasping at straws - but it's what I would be trying if I were having your same issues

gfk1220,
What browser are you using?
Does this only happen on a certain website?

I don't think that's it. I re-installed the latest version of Java and made sure that Java and scripting are enabled. Same problem exists.

Hello,
Some sites require that the browser use JAVA.
If some or all java scripts are restricted, links and other features can't work.
