Verizon & Dell Broadband Card Utility vs Quick 2 Net

Problem: Verizon Broadband support said I should see some indicator that I'm logged onto their Quick 2 Net dial-up connections at $0.25 per minute. I never use a dial-up connection other than Verizon's broadband (no telephone line). I can't find anything in the Dell Mobile Broadband Utility or anywhere else to let me know if Quick to Net is being used if broadband is not available. I was charged $14 for about for Verizon's Quick 2 Net usage last month and didn't know it until I saw the bill.
Question: Is there a way to know on my Latitude D820 with Broadband Card Utility to know if Quick 2 Net is being used? And what is it?

Since posting this message early in 2007 I've been charged nearly $50 for "data usage" supposed from logging on via Quick2Net. It is now August and Verizon is finally going to check their internet network for a solution.
