What router should I get for Dell Draft N Wireless

Question

Hi,   I just got an E1705 with the Dell Draft N Wireless.  What routers are compatible?  I went to buy a router at an electronics store, but the sales guy said only Netgear would run with Dell draft N.  Is this true?  I have a personal horror story about netgear and would prefer to avoid that brand.  I'm running Vista premium.   thanks

Any router will work at 802.11g speeds.  If you want to take advantage of the currently non-standard Draft-N features, you will have to get a router that supports the non-standard Draft-N protocols (make sure it is not Pre-N because that is a different non-standard version of N).   Steve

I would not buy anything right now unless forced to do so, i.e not having any router at all. The Draft N 2 is being ratified right now. Wifi Alliance will test products for compatibility in March.   I suspect all the new Draft N 2.0 will start appearing in March.   My Draft N Belkin router will be upgradable in March to Draft N 2 so we were told.
