where is the modem? SX270

hello, it's been quite a long time since this computer was bought, and I received it with the store I purchased. It didn't come with any drivers nor a cd-rom drive seeing that it was a small business computer. recently the hard drive crashed and I had to go out and buy a new one. I got all the drivers I could find for it, which is how I am connecting to the internet right now (because of the LAN driver) but I use to be able to connect to the internet via dialup (at the store) and right now, the computer is not detecting the modem. is there something missing or what? all I did was replace the harddrive, nothing else =/
p.s. is there another way of connecting to dialup through the network card or something? or does it have network card/modem integrated?
thanks alot

Service Tag/Serial Number?
OS version including service packs?
Did you install chipset driver? I think not.

I did install the chipset drivers and the OS is Windows XP Professional w/ SP2
not sure where the serial is located and since this computer came with the store, I don't have the service tag?

This is dell support.
The Serial number and service tag are the same number.

The Service Tag is a unique five- seven-digit alphanumeric (letters and numbers) code that is found on a bar-coded label affixed to your Dell product and is the serial number that is located on the label on the bottom or back of the unit that has the model number and FCC ID Number.

What is the Express Service Code and How Do I Locate It?
The Express Service Code is a conversion of your Service Tag to a numeric format that allows for easy entry into Dell's automated call-routing system.

The Express Service Code is printed next to the Service Tag that is found on a bar-coded label affixed to your Dell product.

It is also sometimes under the front access panel as well as on the back and bottom.

The service tag also shows up in the F2 CMOS setup.

Modems are optional.
Unless it came from dell with "the modem" then the answer is there isnt one there and thats why it cannot be found.
