Which network drivers do I have to download??

I bought a Dell Inspiron 6000 (laptop) for a couple of moths ago. Lately, I'm sure my Dell has been full of viruses, worms etc, so I had to format it, and install windows once again. I realised after formatting it that I didn't received any Windows XP cd from Dell when I received my laptop, so I tested my computer with another windows XP cd.

The problem then was that I didn't have drivers to my screen, monitor, network, modem etc. So now I can not log on to the internet. I tried yesterday to download a lot of drivers (network), but I can still not log on to internet. It still shows a lot of yellow question marks beside the ethernet, networ, modem, moniotr etc.

So have can I know which drivers I have to download, when it comes to network, monitor, ethernet, modem etc. etc.

And do I have any rights to get an Windows XP cd from Dell from free?

After reinstalling Windows XP, the first drivers that must be installed are the chipset drivers.  Once the chipset drivers are installed, you can then install drivers for the other devices.   All these drivers can be downloaded from

You should call Dell support or use the chat feature to request all CDs that should have come with your system.  If the first person you talk to or chat with refuses to send them, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Hmm.. I typed in my question and got this reply. I am a home user ?!?

"Based on the information you provided, our records show you are not a home or home office customer. If you purchased your system from another of Dell's business segment or one of Dell's Sales (partners, avenues, etc...) - please address your customer care questions to that business segment or that partner."

Where can I read my answers on the chat?

I have downloaded and ran the chipset driver. During the installation process of the chipset driver (R86238) I got a message that said that one file was missing:

usbehic.sys

Well, I have been on the page you have referred me to. I still don't know which network driver(s) I have to download. Do you know?
