Not sure of the make and model of your computer and operating system. I'm not exactly sure how Intel® My WiFi Technology works but it might or might not work.
Usually with a wireless rpinter, if you do not have a wireless router, you can set up most of the wireless printers using Ad-Hoc. The small problems with Ad-Hoc are that you have to connect to the printer each time you leave and come back.

Thanks Rick
I dont have the printer yet, but should have looked for the manual.
I was told by two others that this was not possible without a router
but you have shown me different.
Printer will be delivered tomorrow so fingers crossed !!
Thanks for your time and assistance
best regards

Steve,
The Dell V313w Printer manual look at page 59.
