Wifi problem Ismiron 6000
I have an Ispiron 6000 which won't connect to the wireless router through the build in Wifi device. If I add a Linksys additional card, it is contacted immediately and I can surf the internet.
Other strange phenomen is that when I try an adhoc connection with the installed software (instead of Windows managing the wireless connection) this works, the Wireless network gets connected but this is no use for getting on the internet. The other connection for this software (which is meant to get on the internet) doesn't connect (just like when I let Windows manage the wireless network devices)
Both softwares recognize the network an tell me the reception is very good.
What can I try to get on the internet without the extra wifi card?

No, since you are the first to react to my message I did not get any suggestions of anything I could try. To me it seems some problem with a MAC-address (it often is when there are "unclear" communication problems), but I'm not so experienced with networks. I tried to clean the memory of the ADSL-modem/router by leaving it powered off for a while, but that was no solution eigther.
It also might be some IP issue, but then how is it possible it works with the other Wifi-card. Do they generate a different IP-address? I mean in a different range? There are no fixed IP-addresses in the network so this isn't likely the problem, but someone told me he had a similar problem with the router not dispatching an IP-address in the range that was accepted by the laptop.
Since this is in fact my friends problem who asked me to solve it :) I can't try everything the moment I think of it, but if I can sort it out (ideas are still welcome) I will post it here.
