Wiflyer, has anyone used this?

I saw an ad in PC World for wireless dial-up sharing a single dial-up connection with another computer. I'm thinking about getting a laptop and I don't know anything about this kind of thing. I have a Dimension 8200 and have a network card, 10/100 PCI Fast Ethernet NIC. Is this the network card they talk about using? Please forgive my ignorance, maybe this is a silly question, I find lots of useful information on this site and I'm hoping someone can tell me in easy to understand language what I need to know.
