Windows Can't Detect and Install Wifi Card
My problem is easy, I can't install my WLANCard. In dell drivers page I downloaded the WLANdriver card for my laptop Vostro 3500. The driver's name es "DELL_MULTI-DEVICE_A00_R253450" but at the moment of intallation the program said that that there isn't any compatible hardware. This make many conflicts to me because i downloaded this driver to my laptop.
In Dell Chat the agent said me that I have to upgrade my Bios versión, so I did it, but the WLANCard doesn't work yet, then the agent said me that I have to install this driver "DELL_WIRELESS-5540-HSPA-MINI_A00_R253451", but SURPRISE this driver didn't work.
A few hours ago I used lived CD of Ubuntu Linux, I can install Wifi Ward in less than 5 minutes, I didn't have any problem with that...
Any reason,or advise that I can do to solve this problem?

ferfactor,
Make and model of your computer and operating system is helpful. 32-bit or 64-bit?
Was the operating system recently installed or the computer recently upgraded with a different operating system?

Hello,
I think I have the same issue with my Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop, I have just upgraded to Windows 7 32-Bit and I can't seem to find the wireless network driver anywhere, the drivers are only available for Windows 7 64-Bit... I would appreciate any help in this matter .
Thank you

Tussom,
When you upgraded the computer, did you install the desktop/notebook utility and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Install Drivers in Microsoft® Windows® on Dell Systems If you cannot find Windows 7 drivers, then try installing the Vista 32-bit (or XP)drivers and install them in the Compatibility mode
