windows xp home edition inspiron2650

HI
I HAVE AN IBM THINKVISION DESK TOP SYSTEM AND MY DAUGHTER HAS DELL LAPTOP
I HAD BT BROADBAND AND NO PROBLEMS
TIL SHE PURCHASED A D-LINK WIRELESS ADSL ROUTER I HAVE BEEN ON SYSTEMS AND PHONES FOR 2 DAYS             HELP
THE DESKTOP AND INTERNET ARE FINE IT IS THE LAPTOP WHICH IS CAUSING THE PROB ERROR 10  IRQ CONFLICT IS WHAT THE D/LINK OPERATOR TOLD ME .
 CAN ANY ONE ADVISE?

Are the TCP/IP properties set to obtain an IP address automically?  (Notice that my CAPS LOCK key is not stuck)

No offense taken.  All CAPS is difficult to read and implies shouting on this forum.  Did you install a new network card in the laptop?  Did you install any software from D-Link on the laptop?  If so, try removing that software - you shouldn't need any software specific to the router to connect to the router.
