Wireless Bridge between 2300 and Linksys WRT54G
Has anyone been able to expand their wireless network by bridging between a 2300 and Linksys WRT54G router (without using wires between the two routers)? Both are WEP enabled and work individually but not together (I have not tried turning off WEP yet).
I am using the Linksys as the gateway and the Dell as an access point and have followed the instructions from this forum and the manual on how to bridge two 2300 routers (I am entering the MAC address of the Linksys to the Dell because it is the only one that offers the bridging option).
One thing I can think of is that I am not using the correct MAC address, since there seem to be many different ones.

PS: I may be using terms like bridging incorrectly, but hopefully it is understood what I am trying to accomplish.

Yes, I've been able to wirelessly bridge my Dell 2300 to my Linksys WRT55AG.
Here's what I did:
1. Configure your Dell Router to run as an access point. Make sure the SSID and channel are exactly the same as the Linksys.
2. Enable wireless bridging on the Dell 2300 and enter the Linksys Wireless G MAC address.
3. On the Dell 2300, disable the DHCP server functionality.
4. On the Dell 2300, configure it to automatically receive an ip address from another DHCP server.
5. Restart everything.
