wireless connecting and printing

Hi. I purchased a dell inspiron 600m and have it set up for wireless internet via Netgear. I also purchased a dell printer for my desktop which is connected fine. Both computers have Windows XP SP2.  When I spoke with sales, they said I needed a wireless adapter for my printer, so I purchased one (Dell wireless printer adapter 3300).

My problem is, I cannot connect my laptop to my printer. I am thinking that the two wireless remotes may not be compatible, or that I only needed one wireless remote. I am new to all this wireless stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Marascus

What model Dell printer are you using? The Dell 3300 adapter is compatible with a finite number of printers.

I have exactly this set up (without the desktop) and the printer adatper set-up CD set things up no problems. Disconnect printer from desktop and run the set-up CD on the laptop.

I have disconnected the printer from the desktop and run the CD in the Laptop.  It still doesn't work.

Based on the info given, you may not be configuring the 3300 print adapter correctly. Do you have any third party software firewalls installed on the 600m?(Norton Internet Security, McAfee or Trend Micro Security Suites, Zone Alarm, etc.)

What model Netgear product do you have?

Try the steps from this link for configuring your print adapter:
