wireless connection not re-connect when wake up laptop

Hello,
So I use my laptop, all works OK. I close top for few hours, I re-open the top and wireless connecion is not being restored. It used to in the past, not anymore...
Plese advise how to fix it?

The only work around is to start up this wireless card application and click rescan button. Rescanning is not really needed becauses it shows strong signal connected present on my channel, but rescanning triggers this sub-connection thing that actually connects me to the internet and this small computer icon appears with green wave-signal icon next to the clock.
Other work around is restart.

Also, it could happen when spyware software removed two running application. I believe one of them was some kind of process that was supposed to restore internet after waking up my laptop from hibernation. I do not remember name(s) of this removed process(es).

My laptop is Inspiron 5160 with wireless card D Link DWL-G630

I appreciate all the help!
/d

There might be a option when you right click on the wireless internet connection and click properties. From there it will show you your wireless card under the first tab and click configure. You may find an option there, not really sure but you can confer with the manual which you can find on this website.

I'm having the same problem with my Dell Lattitude D620, wireless connection is either disconnected after waking from sleep or sometimes will disconnect shortly after waking. Restarting is the only thing that seems to solve the issue. I cannot even detect my network with the Dell with the wireless network connection window even though other laptops in my home are concurrently connected and working on it.

If you're using the dell WLAN utility you can manually set a preferred network to connect to all the time. Also what is your SSID? If you have it set at the generic Linksys for example and there is other routers in the area with the same SSID and in different areas of the house you could connect to that first.
