Wireless Connection Problem with Lattitude X300 & Intel(R) PRO 2100 3A Adapter
Problem: Cannot get Wireless to work; Information: - Laptop = Dell Latitude X300 - OS = MS XP Media Edition Version 2002, service pack 2 - Intel(R) Pro/Wireless LAN 2100 3A Mini PCI Adapter with Driver version 1.2.5.37 I have scanned my PC using Driver Agent. It shows that the Network Adapter for the Intel Pro Wireless adapter is OK and up to date with drivers I have gone to My Computer => Computer Management => Network Adapters and it shows the Wireless Adapter On the Taskbar, I have righclicked on the Intel(R) ProWireless icon, open it up, click on Network and it shows a profile I have set up with SSID and Profile name, but show that Radio is off. There is no way I can click on the radio button to turn it on. I have gone to the Network & Interconnect Connections => Network Connections => Connection Properties => right clicked on the Wireless Network connection => Wireless Network connection properties => clicked Wireless Networks => checked the Use Windows to configure my wireless network and have used this by not checking this box. It still doesn't work. What am I missing?
