Wireless for Inspiron 8000 wont work
I've tried everything. Pci & Usb cards(different brands). All my laptop will do is ping the router. Laptop shows great signal strength. Can't connect to the internet. Also have DSL. Any help would make my two kids very happy.

Do you have any security features enabled on the router (MAC address filtering, WEP or WPA encryption)? If so, temporarily disable them and see if you can get the connection to work. If not, aAs a troubleshooting step, try connecting to the router using an ethernet connection. If this works, then it will mostly eliminate software problems and we work from there. Also, if you have any third party firewall software installed (Norton Internet Security, McAfee Security Suite, Zone Alarm) either make sure they are configured to allow internet acces or uninstall them until the problem is solved.

To help troubleshoot this problem, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.

You changed what a dozen times? I'm trying to help, but I cannot see your computer from this end of the internet, nor can I see the ouput from your ipconfig command. There is a lot of information in there that may be helpful, but if you don't post it, I will have a difficult time helping.
