wireless help needed asap

I have recently moved into a house with 3 roomates and just got a wireless connection. As of now everyone is able to use it except myself.

I have a latitude d600 and one of my roomates has an inspiron 600m. Our wireless network comes up as being in range for me but I am unable to connect to it. When I look at the properties of the network on my roomate's laptop the network authentification is WPA2 Personal, and the Data Encryption is AES-CCMP. Neither of these are options on my computer. When I look at the properties of the same network on my laptop the authentification is Open (other option is Shared), and the encryption is WEP (other option is Disabled).

Does anyone know what the problem is/ how it can be resolved?

Thanks so much!

You don't state what wireless card you have, but if the card only supports WEP encryption and you need WPA/WPA2 encryption, there is little option except using another card.

Check first for newer drivers for your card. You might be able upgrade the card to support WPA-PSK, which would not diminish the security of the network. You would still need to change the encryption on the router, but that would be cheapest solution.

Additional note. If you are running Windows XP, you need to be running SP2 to have WPA support.
