wireless network connection no working ???

I have a Dell Latitiude D600 with a Dell wireless WLAN 1350 mini-PCI card... when I have the wireless enabled, and I know there are wireless networks within range of the card... it still continues to say no networks in range... it worked when I first go the computer and then I had to reload windows xp on the laptop and since it hasn't worked.. the correct drivers are installed, but it still doesn't work. I even checked to make sure the windows zero configuration was working. The dell utility doesn't see any networks or the window wireless connection wizard. Any help here would be hot!
thanks

Is the wireless radio enabled?  The Fn F2 key combination toggles the radio on and off.

After reinstalling Windows, did you install the chipset drivers before attempting to install device drivers for other devices?  If you go into Device Manager, does it show any problem devices?

You still didn't answer my question about the chipset drivers.  If the chipset drivers aren't installed first, Windows can have trouble properly installing other device drivers.

Have you checked your MiniPCI card to make sure the antenna wires are firmly connected to the card?

Download and install Netstumbler on the problem computer:

Does Netstumbler see any wireless networks?
